EMDR Therapy
You don’t want to be in therapy forever
You want to move on from the trauma you experienced, but you’re stuck.
The emotions of what you experienced still feel so raw and tender - keeping you rooted in the past.
EMDR therapy is able to beautifully connect the feeling and thinking brain to help move you out of distress
You are ready to stop ruminating on the past; you are ready to move forward.
EMDR is a powerful, researched-backed therapy tool that can help you reclaim your life. Through EMDR therapy, you can begin to reconnect the pieces of your experiences and emotions and feel whole once again.
Rather than feeling like your own harshest critic, you will start to believe that you are resilient, you have survived, you can trust yourself, and you are brave.
How EMDR Therapy Works
EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing; it is a therapy technique used to relieve trauma and psychological stress.
When traumatic and painful memories are not processed, we can develop post-traumatic stress. Rather than moving forward in our lives, we re-experience the painful, traumatic memories. These memories can be triggered by sights, sounds, words, or smells.
Reliving these memories over and over again can cause deep emotional distress. EMDR aims to reduce the symptoms of trauma by changing how your brain stores your memories.
EMDR may be a good fit for you if…
You have experienced a traumatic event
You are willing to share about this trauma with a therapist
EMDR may not be a good fit for you if…
You have epilepsy
You have a vision impairment

EMDR Therapy is a tool used by people around the world, from all walks of life
Have any questions?
-
Yes, it is possible to do EMDR via telehealth.
-
The number of sessions that is right for you will depend on your history of trauma and your goals.
-
No, it’s very safe but your memory network will be activated. Before we begin our EMDR session, we will go over resources to manage and cope with the stress you’re feeling.
-
No, but you’ll be able to process it in a way to understand this happened but you don’t feel emotionally stunted or stuck. You will be able to relate to the memory in a more healthy, adaptive way.
